If you feel passionate about delivering excellent customer service, have a flexible attitude and enjoy being part of a busy, friendly team, then join our team of customer service advisors working across our various Council sites. This role will involve serving our customers Face to Face in our Barnstaple, Ilfracombe and South Molton offices as well as over the telephone, so previous experience of this will be an advantage.
You will need to demonstrate excellent communication, decision making and problem ownership skills and will need a calm, pleasant and helpful manner as the public face of the Council. You should have at least 12 months’ experience of operating as a first point of contact, have 4 GCSE’s (Grade 4 or above or equivalent relevant experience), be competent in using various IT systems and have a knowledge/understanding of equal opportunities in service delivery.
